Changed Cell Numbers
If you’re out there reading this and you didn’t get the email from last night announcing my cell phone number change, email me and I’ll provide it to you.Basically, I’ve fallen in love with the iPhone, even with its flaws, and I’m keeping my AT&T number because it’s a 303 number and I am a huge dork who likes that.I’ll be canceling my Sprint account in the next week or so.
AIM Text Message Spam?
Just today, I’ve started to receive spam messages (those same “buy this stock” crap messages that come in via email too) on my iPhone through text messages from the AIM gateway. I never signed my phone into AIM, so I’m not sure what’s going on here. I’ll be calling AT&T and updating this post with my experiences. Since I have a limited number of texts, this could prove to be a dealbreaker between me and AT&T unless they can get it to stop.
Stitches out…
Since I haven’t written anything previously on here about this, first a recap.
On July 2nd, while walking through my garage I was attacked by a midget ninja. Actually, I stumbled and drug my shin across the exhaust shield on my dad’s pressure washer. This caused a pretty 3.5″ gash on my leg that required a trip to the Parker Adventist Hospital ER and 9 stitches.
I just got the stitches out finally and it looks like it’s healing well according to the nurse who took out the stitches.
Pardon my Election
So, I’m pretty neutral when it comes to matters of political interest… but this is great.
George W. Bush on the elections: “…actually, I thought we were going to do fine yesterday. Shows what I know.”
Indeed.
It’s still my firm opinion that the government runs best with opposing powers in the legislative and executive branches. Sure, it causes some conflict, but conflict is good… it pushes you toward the center. You know the center… it’s where all the smart, reasonable people are.
Play with fire…
You’re prolly gonna get burned eventually.
Don’t call me junior.
JavaScript isn’t scary.
Pet peeve: People who dismiss HTML/CSS/JavaScript as some kind of “junior” programmer. Um, guys, if we didn’t have that stuff, there really wouldn’t be a web.
Fancy backend or no, the user doesn’t care. To the user, the interface IS the application.
Holy nutjob, Batman!
I don’t watch this show. Maybe I should. I’ve watched this video five times and I laugh my ass off every time.

Rafting

Went rafting on Clear Creek this afternoon. Rafting company was Clear Creek Rafting and I’d have to rate their service as excellent. We did the intermediate run and were out for about 2.5 hours.
