Hello from Italy
If anyone out there is reading, hello from the Cinque Terre… Vernazza to be specific. I’d hoped to post more (with pictures), but the availability of Internet access using my own laptop is very very sporadic. So sporadic, I haven’t found any yet.
Oh, and I forgot to install the drivers for my card reader on the laptop before leaving. Thankfully I was able to find a photo shop in Florence that stocked USB card readers.
The scenery here in Cinque Terre is gorgeous. Rome was a good time. I’m up to around 600 frames on the camera.
Today we’re planning on wandering around the Cinque Terre National Park and then re-meeting the group for dinner. Then tomorrow, we pack up and hit the trains again for Lake Cumo and Milan. After that its Venice and then home.
Ah, one thing… our luggage was lost for a good three days while in Rome… after we got delayed a whole day due to American Airlines flight delays. They re-routed us through Frankfurt (our original European transfer was in London) and somewhere along the line the luggage got lost. It’s back now… but lets just say Italian jeans don’t fit me at all.
Anyway… we’ll see you all in a few days.
